Basketball in Canada is underrated. Kids in Canada work hard and watch kids in the United States get all the “clout” and profit from all these social media platforms from just being freak athletes. Canadian basketball is on the Côme up with all these Canadian NBA first-round picks like RJ Barrette, Shaedon Sharpe, Bennedict Mathurin and NBA ALL STAR like Jamal Murray, Tristan Thompson, Steve Nash and many more. Basketball in Canada should get more credit because it’s starting to prove that the kids can compete and beat these “super athletes” from the United States who usually get picked for the NBA draft. Social media is playing à great role in this because it advertises what the kids are doing in Canada and how competitive they are when it comes to the game of basketball. 

  High school basketball has evolved in such à positive next-level way. 5-star recruits put on the show at the high school level more than the big leagues and I think that they should get profit or credit for what they are bringing to this generation. Social media plays à big role in the basketball world now, with overtime/ball is life/slamHS and many big names with Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat platforms who give the chance to give the players exposure all over the world. I feel like 5-star high school basketball recruits should get some type of Wealth because it’s à known fact 84.2% of these kids are coming from struggling families and work hard while going through hard times.  It would help them à lot more to focus on their dreams and finishing school and not getting à job and working all the time to help their single moms or poor families. Basketball is a worldwide affordable sport. You can find a basketball court or net around almost every corner nowadays and it’s because basketball is the best sport. Basketball was invented in 1891 by a Springfield college graduate James Naismith. To play because all you honestly need to do is dedicate yourself and believe that you will be good one day and some shoes and probably around 200$ to get started and that's why I also think it's the best sport because it's very affordable for kids who can't afford other sports that cost 1000$ or more. Lebron Raymond James was born on December 30, 1984, in Akron Ohio. In 2003 Lebron was drafted to the Nba straight out of high school (St. Vincent-St. Mary high school). As a 6-foot-2-inch (1.88 m) freshman, Lebron averaged 21 points and 6 rebounds per game.
